Giving Back To The Grid
From energy crops and waste to renewable power. Renewable energy production is not only an increasingly important part of our business, it also represents a huge opportunity to do more with the resources available to us.
Circular ThinkingAt Farming Dynamics, we recycle both food waste and animal waste. Crops such as maize, rye, barley allows us to implement a sustainable crop rotation, with diversity of cropping improving soil health, reducing weed burden and improving the utilisation of fixed costs. Applications of the by-product of anaerobic digestion back to the land increases its fertility and organic matter.

24-hour Power GenerationOur micro AD plants generate enough energy to power the entire farm. We even make sure the heat produced during the process isn’t wasted, using it for heating the glasshouse to grow crops indoors.

AgrivoltaicsAgrivoltaics describes a process for the simultaneous use of agricultural land for food production and PV power generation. The technology enables the efficient dual use of agricultural land: photovoltaics on open spaces can be substantially expanded without significantly using up valuable resources of fertile arable land. Targeted light management optimizes the yields from PV and photosynthesis. In addition, value creation in the region and rural development are promoted, as agrivoltaic projects are ideally suited to be supported in a decentralized envionment by farmers, municipalities and small and medium-sized enterprises. This results in new, economically viable farming options for agriculture.
